Payment/Transaction

The payment is being supervised by the Department of Tourism of Bhutan (DOT). All the payments including cost of the trip and visa fees must be made prior to your arrival to Bhutan. The deposit directly goes to the tour company’s beneficiary account and this account is linked/registered with the airlines and Department of Tourism so that they can track the payments and the balance if in case the tour operators undercut the minimum daily rate. The bank is allowed to remit the money only to the airlines or DOT to process visa. The balance funds are released to the tour company minimum of 1 week after your trip is over. The visa is approved only after your full payment for the trip has been made to the Department of Toursim.

Wire Transfer payment

All the licensed tour operators have an account with either Bank of Bhutan or Bhutan National Bank which is registered/ linked with Department of Tourism. Once you confirm your trip, we will send you the bank details of our international correspondent bank. You must instruct your bank to remit the payment through the correspondent bank to Bhutan National Bank/Bank of Bhutan and send us the copy of remittance slip. Don’t forget to mention our company’s name and its account number as the ultimate beneficiary. We will send you a confirmation via email within 2 – 3 working days upon receiving the payment.

For visitors from India

You have to make 50% of payment to book your tour and the rest of the amount at least 30 days prior to your arrival in Bhutan. Upon receiving your confirmation, we will send you the details poof our corresponding bank in India. Mail us the copy of remittance slip once you make the payment and alternately, you can make a payment using credit/debit card through above mentioned process.

Payment through credit/debit cards

Once you confirm the trip, we will send you the invoice and link to our gateway and inform you about the receipt of the payment. Please note that only MasterCard and Visa are accepted for payment.

5% of the total amount is charged as bank transfer fees.
